"Faith" is such a big word. Christianity is often referred to as a "faith". When a person is giving up hope, we encourage them by saying, "Have a little faith." When you don't trust a person anymore we say that we have lost "faith" in them. So faith in our English language carries elements of trust, confidence, courage and religion. But what does the Bible say about faith? For one Hebrews 11:6 says, "without faith it is impossible to please God", making it a central part of our Christian lives.
Jesus encourages us to have faith as well, stating in Matt 21:22, "And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith." So what is faith? How do I get more faith? Or at least grow in my faith? These are questions I have struggled with for many years.
In this series "Please, God" we hope to take some of the lessons we've learnt over the years about faith. I believe that this will be a series that greatly enriches your journey with God, and can't wait to kick it off this Sunday!
